State Leadership Conference

State Leadership Conference (SLC) is a great opportunity for high school students to participate in our competitive events program among some of the best in the state. SLC also includes state officer elections and a series of informative leadership workshops for FBLA students and advisers.

Please note that, despite our best efforts, a few scheduling conflicts could not be avoided due to overlapping events for some competitors.

If a conflict exists, members will need to make a decision on which event to participate in. Alternatively, advisers may coordinate with another chapter to arrange a time slot switch.

If a change is agreed upon between chapters, please email jacqui.garrison@nebraska.gov and copy chapter advisers making the switch with the following information:

  • Chapters
  • Names of all competitors involved in the switch
  • Agreed-upon time slot changes

*Approved changes will not be reposted online but will be updated in the official event packets for judges and event chairmen.

Business Tour Options for Thursday morning, April 16

Friday Evening Foundation Fundraiser – Sign-up – Due Wednesday, April 8

Friday from 10-Midnight Nebraska FBLA Board of Directors is hosting a fundraiser for the Nebraska FBLA Foundation and Trust. Activities are $10 per person. Payment is due by May 1.

  • FBLA Game Night at Younes Conference Center North
  • Big Apple Fun Center
    • Bowling (50-minute session includes shoe rental)
    • Mini-Golf (50-minute session)
    • Laser Tag (15-minute session)

For members that purchased the 2026 SLC t-shirt, you can receive a 50% discount on the FBLA Game Night at YCCN. No discounts are available for Big Apple Fun Center.
Wristbands will be included in your conference packet for the Friday evening social activities based on registration.

In addition to competitive events, members and advisers can participate in our leadership workshops throughout the conference on Thursday and Friday!

Food Options

  • Food Options within walking distance of the Younes Center!
  • Friday evening buffet is included in your conference registration. Must have your name badge to enter the food line.
  • President’s Etiquette Dinner – Friday, April 17, from 6:30-8:00 pm. – Those that were registered for this, will receive a card in the conference packet. This card is required for entrance to the President’s Dinner. This dinner includes a plated meal and dessert. Please do not have these members go through the buffet line.
  • Adviser Hospitality Room will be available in YCCN – Bronze 4 on Thursday from 3:00 pm – 7:30pm and Friday from 7:30 am – 3:00 pm.

2026 Conference Schedule

Personal Conference Schedule Planner—This can be used to add specific chapter details for meetings and other events for all members. Personal conference event schedules can also be created in the app but are limited to only conference activities. They would not include extra activities/meetings with the local chapter, such as departure times from school or dinners.

Conference Costs:

$71 for members and advisers

$45 for chaperones, guests, and student teachers

 

Conference Registration Information

The State Leadership Conference’s registration deadline is Wednesday, February 11 (2nd Wednesday of February).

Registration Steps:
  1. Submit conference attendees and competitive events on Blue Panda
  2. Submit Payment once you receive the QuickBooks Invoice
    • Pay with Check:
      • Make check payable to Nebraska FBLA. 
          • Deduct the Credit Card fee from the amount of the check.
      • Mail check payment and invoice to:
        Grafton & Associates, 5935 S. 56th St. Ste A, Lincoln, NE 68516
    • Pay with a Credit Card:
      • Submit credit card payments through the QuickBooks invoice link.
      • Credit card convenience fee (3%) added to registration total.

January 15 – Registration opens.

February 11 – Rooming list due for chapters through BluePanda SLC Registration system.

February 12 – Rooming list shared with Younes Hotel Management Staff.
