State Leadership Conference

State Leadership Conference (SLC) is a great opportunity for high school students to participate in our competitive events program among some of the best in the state. SLC also includes state officer elections and a series of informative leadership workshops for FBLA students and advisers.

State Officer Campaign Information

Delegate Count 2024

Local Chapter Voting Delegates. The official business of the Association may be transacted by voting
delegates representing local chapters affiliated with the Association only during the annual State Leadership Conference. Each local FBLA chapter in good standing with the Association shall be entitled to be represented by voting delegates at all official business sessions and delegate assemblies held during the annual State Leadership Conference. The number of voting delegates representing each local FBLA chapter during official business sessions and delegate assemblies shall be determined by the following guidelines:
Number of Members in Local Chapter –  Number of Voting Delegates
1 – 20 members – 2 voting delegates
21 – 40 members – 3 voting delegates
41 – 60 members – 4 voting delegates
61 – 80 members – 5 voting delegates
81 or more members – 6 voting delegates
All voting will be done electronically via smartphone, laptop, or tablet. Must be able to connect to wifi.

 

Encourage all members to stop by the campaign booths to meet the candidates.

  1. Formal Caucus (Q&A) – Thursday 9-9:30 pm – Gold Ballroom
    Submit Formal Caucus Questions HERE by 7 pm Thursday
  2. Primary Voting – Friday 2-4:30 pm – Registration Desk YCCN
    Only those with a blue Delegate ribbon may vote.
  3. Delegate Assembly (Final Vote) – Friday 6-7 pm – Gold Ballroom
    All members may attend. Required attendance of all with the blue Delegate ribbon. Must be seated by 6 pm. Arrive 10 minutes early!

Conference Registration is now open! The State Leadership Conference’s registration deadline is Wednesday, February 14.

Registration Steps:
  1. Submit conference attendees and competitive events on Blue Panda
  2. Submit SLC Registration Summary Form
    https://form.jotform.com/nebraskafbla/slcregistration 
  3. Submit Payment
    • Pay with Check:
      • Make check payable to Nebraska FBLA
      • Mail check payment to Grafton & Associates, 5935 S. 56th St. Ste A, Lincoln, NE 68516
        • Include the PDF Invoice from the SLC Registration Summary Form
          o Include SLC Registration fees; Nebraska FBLA Scholarship Fund contribution, Businessperson of the Year Award fee, and Star Volunteer Award fee, if any.
    • Pay with a Credit Card:
      • Submit credit card payment through Blue Panda
      • Credit card convenience fee (3.1%) added to registration total.

General Conference and Competitive Event Guidelines

Hotel Lottery – https://nebraskafbla.org/slc-hotels/ 

January 16 –  The Hotel Lottery Form opens at 7:45 a.m. CST. (form emailed and posted here)

February 1 – Chapters will be notified around February 1 of their status in the hotel lottery.
*Latest update they are working to put the rooming puzzle together. Some notifications will go out after February 1.

February 14 – Rooming list due for chapters through BluePanda SLC Registration system.

February 15 – Rooming list shared with Younes Hotel Management Staff

February 16 – Chapters on the waiting list for Younes Conference Center Hotels will be notified.
